July 2019

Happy July to you!  It is so hard to believe that we are half way thru the summer!  Hopefully you and your family are enjoying yourselves.  We have plans for many day trips with our boys.   We are looking forward to visits to the zoo, the beach, and some waterparks.  We may even pack some of Scott's famous chicken salad sandwiches in a cooler.  Yum!

Scott's was open for the Forth of July and we  want to thank everyone that came out and helped us celebrate.  We served a special menu created just for this day.   We had three types of hot dogs, many burger selections, and several special sandwiches.  There were many ooos and aahhs heard throughout the dining room.  If you missed out, there is always next year!

Chef Scott has an article in the Pinehurst Gazette that you should check out.  Here is an excerpt:

When you think of Southern foods, there are certain staples that automatically come to mind.  Fried chicken, grits, collard greens, and ofcoarse, the infamous pimiento cheese sandwich.  Pimiento cheese is a Southern staple with not so Southern roots.  As a Southerner bychoice and not birth, pimiento cheese wasn't something I was brought up eating.  However, I have happily discovered that homemadeis absolutely the way to truly enjoy this wonderful concoction.

You can pick up your copy of the Gazette here at the restaurant and other locations thruout Moore County (there is a coupon from us inside).

Have you voted for you choice for Best of the Pines?  Scott's Table has been nominated for an incredible twenty categories.  We are honored and humbled at the support that we have received .  Thank you all that helped with the nomination process.  Now the true work begins.  Voting ends on July 21, 2019.  Please be sure to vote for us at www.bestofthepines.com

Have a great July!
